The Alumni Association which manages Sri Aurobindo Vidya Mandir was established in the year 1967 by an Inspired Team of Noble young men who dedicated their lives and energy to the cause of Education with the main objective of giving the students a comprehensive & quality education to develop their all round personality with due emphasis on moral, ethical values and discipline.
It is our firm belief that education is the only means of bringing about material, intellectual and spiritual regeneration of mankind which is the philosophy of the Great Sage Sri Aurobindo. Following the ideals of the great founders of the Society, Sri Aurobindo Vidya Mandir has been built to be a great Institution. Later on, with a view to give quality education to the Girl students of this area, Sri Aurobindo Pre-University College and Sri Aurobindo First Grade College for Women have been established.
Again, with a view to further expand its activities, one more school Sri Aurobindo Vidya Mandir has been established in the C.A. Site in Kamalanagar, Bangalore. The medium of instruction is English but Kannada, Hindi & Sanskrit languages are also taught. The curriculum of the Karnataka Government is followed.
